Qualifications and Training

Below is a list of the qualifications I have gained as a result of the training I have completed since I started sailing.

RYA Competent crew; completed on Outreach II in 2006
RYA Day skipper; completed on Outreach II in 2006
RYA Diesel engine qualification; completed at HMS Gannet in 2004
Short range certificate (VHF GMDSS) gained in 2006
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased certificate gained in 2007
RYA Sea survival completed in 2007
MCA First aid certificate completed in 2007

I have now also exceeded the pre-exam requirement for the RYA Yachtmaster offshore exam having already spent in excess of 100 days on board yachts in the last 2 years and sailed over 3000 nautical miles. However this exam has a minimum age restriction so I will have to wait until I am 18 before I can take it.
